PUBLIC NOTICE
The parish council received resignations from former councillors Simon Ward and Alastair Whetstone on Monday 31st October. The parish council has two remaining members. For a meeting to be quorate, a minimum of three councillors are required.
An official request has been submitted to Craven District Council to make an order under S91 of the Local Government Act 1972 which allows the District Council to appoint persons to fill vacancies where a Parish Council is unable to act. The parish council will need to wait for the order to be in place and then arrangements will be made for a meeting to be called.
The remaining parish council vacancies will be advertised once the official notice has been received from Electoral Services at Craven District Council. Once these vacancies are filled, the persons appointed by Craven District Council will no longer be required.
