STATEMENT
Like everyone, the Parish Council is saddened by the temporary closure of the footpath alongside Lothersdale beck. The Parish Council recognises that North Yorkshire Council have not taken lightly the decision to close the path and agree that villagers’ safety is a top priority. The landowners are currently working with the NYC Public Rights of Way team on alternatives for access which will hopefully be apparent in the next few weeks, while a more permanent solution is considered.
